VALERIE LAUSIER-COLLINS | Yoga Instructor

Valerie has practiced yoga for more than 13 years. She first pursued yoga to gain strength and flexibility while teaching aerobics and fitness; she then discovered its emotional and spiritual benefits. Yoga later became an escape from her busy life as a small-business owner–“Yoga helped melt the stress away, I felt more mentally and physically balanced.”

Her passion for yoga inspired Valerie to become a teacher through Yogaspirit’s 200-hour teacher-training program with Kim Valeri. With a natural teaching style rooted in patience and compassion, Valerie encourages her students to see beyond their self-imposed limitations.

In addition to teaching and practicing yoga, Valerie is Director of Admission at a local Montessori school. She is also a member of the school’s coaching staff where she integrates yoga into all aspects of the after-school sports program.

Prior to her current roles, Valerie was a small business owner for over 13 years, managing cafes in Boston and Gloucester that specialized in creative whole foods, natural foods, and curious liquids. Before that, she was aerobics director and customer service manager at a Boston fitness center.
