  • Don’t let the name fool you, this workout requires zero dance experience. Barre is a low-impact, full body conditioning class that helps bring strength, endurance, and balance to the body. Exercises are set to upbeat music and performed both on the mat and at the barre, utilizing a variety of props including small hand weights, resistance bands, yoga blocks, and exercise balls. Through both verbal and visual cues, the instructor leads you through a blend of complex and simple movements to build a class that maintains a consistent energy and pace. Barre movements focus on precise alignment and heavy repetition to burn out the muscles and lengthen muscle fibers. A key benefit of barre exercise is the strengthening of our support muscles that lie close to the core and spine and allow us to balance in our everyday life. These muscles are often neglected and weakened over time in our daily work and social lives. Incorporating barre into your workout routine can help to improve stability, avoid accidents and injuries, and bring more balance and strength to your yoga practice.

We offer both 45 minute (Express) and 1 Hour classes. Expect a different class each session that includes a warm up for the body, as well as exercises to target upper body, back, legs, glutes, abs; commencing with a short cool down and stretch. Class is performed barefoot, but sticky socks are helpful for some (we sell some in the studio!) Class is appropriate for all fitness levels, and the instructor will provide students with both visual and verbal instructions, as well as modifications to be used as necessary. Please bring a water bottle and a mat to class.

  • Yoga Sculpt is an ideal combination of strength work, stretching, and an introduction to yoga. Accessible for all levels, this class will warm you up, and move through combinations of yoga movements with light weights, cardio, squats, lunges, core work, HIIT, and planks. These moves will maximize burn, sculpt your muscles, and build strength, all while burning calories. This amazing class is paired with a killer playlist, and you’ll hardly believe how fast an hour passes! Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water.

    • HOWEVER Please do not enter the space if you see that meditation, breathwork or opening stillness is happening. Wait until the students start to move and the teacher has transitioned out of the mindfulness start of class.

    • Etiquette - if you are late, please be mindful of entering the studio quietly, unrolling your mat carefully and taking props from the prop room in the least intrusive manner.

If you are always late to class, please reflect on your yoga practice off the mat (Asteya: Non-Stealing),  your respect for our community, and how you can prioritize being present on your mat 5 minutes before the start of class.

    • Classes happen at the same time every week and usually with the same instructor. You can see them on our regular class schedule, and they are included in class packs and memberships.

    • Workshops or Enrollments are specialty programs that either expand on the knowledge that is offered in our regular classes or offer a specialty practice that is not normally on the schedule. Instructors put more effort and time into preparing these programs, so they are an additional cost, and members receive a discount.
