YOGA STUDIO ETIQUETTE & FAQS

    • Please arrive before class starts so you have enough time to set up your mat, grab your props and be seated for the start of class

    • Cell phones do not belong in the yoga space. Please put your phone on do not disturb/silent and refrain from using a phone in the Sun or Moon Studios. We encourage you to refrain from looking at a smart watch during your practice.

    • Leave belongings in the space outside the studio on a hook or in a cubby so that the practice space does not feel cramped or cluttered

    • We allow a grace period for entry into the class after it has started, however please do not enter the room during breathwork or meditation. If you arrive late, choose a space in the room that is least disruptive and take care in setting up your mat and props quietly

    • We are located at 3A Pond Rd behind Common Crow Natural Market and across from Second Glance Thrift Store.

    • We have a spacious lot with plenty of free parking. Please park within the lines, or on the gravel area next to the lawn.

    • Please do not park in front of the garage bay of our neighbor or at Common Crow or Second Glance when you take class.

    • We always recommend bringing your own yoga mat, and we have several different types for sale in the lobby. We rent mats for $3 if you do not have one.

    • Bring a reusable water bottle - we have a high end water filtration system for you to refill, and we do not sell water.

    • Other items that some of our clients enjoy bringing are eye pillows, small towels, an extra layer for Savasana, or their own blocks or bolsters.

    • We do provide blocks, bolsters, blankets, sand bags, and meditation cushions.

    • We always recommend signing up in advance because it keeps our lobby traffic moving through more efficiently, and in the summer, we will cancel classes that do not have anyone signed up 2 hours before the start of class.

    • Please come into the Treetop lobby and check in with the front desk. If you do not sign up in advance, they can add you to the class roster and assist with purchasing class packs or memberships.

    • If you arrive late and there is no desk staff, please check in with the instructor after class to make sure you are checked in.

    • We ask that you arrive 5-15 minutes before the start of class to check in.

    • We all know that life happens - beach traffic, a conference call that would not end, kids taking their sweet time coming out of the locker room - so we will welcome you if you are running late.

    • HOWEVER Please do not enter the space if you see that meditation, breathwork or opening stillness is happening. Wait until the students start to move and the teacher has transitioned out of the mindfulness start of class.

    • Etiquette - if you are late, please be mindful of entering the studio quietly, unrolling your mat carefully and taking props from the prop room in the least intrusive manner.

If you are always late to class, please reflect on your yoga practice off the mat (Asteya: Non-Stealing),  your respect for our community, and how you can prioritize being present on your mat 5 minutes before the start of class.

    • Classes happen at the same time every week and usually with the same instructor. You can see them on our regular class schedule, and they are included in class packs and memberships.

    • Workshops or Enrollments are specialty programs that either expand on the knowledge that is offered in our regular classes or offer a specialty practice that is not normally on the schedule. Instructors put more effort and time into preparing these programs, so they are an additional cost, and members receive a discount.
